Ristorante Bottaio is perhaps the most ambitious restaurant project undertaken by founder, Guido Oliverii. Opened in 1997, Bottaio has enjoyed a robust following from the people of Libertyville.
Cooper, or barrel maker, is the translation for the word, Bottaio. It is a fitting tribute to this fine Italian restaurant that boasts an authentic wood burning Italian oven and an extensive wine list of impressive Italian vintners.
Bottaio is located at the north end of Downtown Libertyville on Milwaukee Avenue in a free standing, two story, stucco building. After 14 years, Bottaio has become an integral part of the Libertyville community, serving both residents and businesses with pride and professionalism.
