My Review by chelseab11075720 via Citysearch on 7/11/2013

Food is good but I was upset because I ate half my food wanting to not overeat and save the other half for lunch tomorrow so I asked the waiter to bag it up and he said sure and took my plates in the kitchen but never came back. He brought…

Good, limited, overpriced small portions by CSMobileUser via Citysearch on 1/12/2010

good clean resturant with friendly staff. hope the food improves. Portions are a little bland, small and overpriced. no lunch menu.

Great Lunch Spot (To-Go Please) by pant001 via Citysearch on 3/6/2009

I work across the street from the place and today was the first time I have ever order from there. A co-worker told me about this placed, and as always love to try new places to eat. I order the Monk's Delight. WOW it was good!!! The tofu…

OK, not worth going back... by samaustin via Citysearch on 8/15/2008

A friends sister said it was great, well I say its not. Four of us went to try it out on a week night. The portion size is smaller then most for dinner, and the food is not as flavorful as I would like to see. We had a shrimp with nuts…

Best Chinese Food Value Inside the Loop by ThinkLongTerm via Citysearch on 4/7/2008

Pricier than average chinese restaurants, but it's well worth it. Everything I have tried has been fresh (not loaded with MSG) and delicious. This place is such a good value for the quality of food, I am surprised that it isn't packed…

EXCELLENT!!! by 2010ac via Citysearch on 3/3/2008

My husband and I have been going to Bamboo for about a year now and we love the place! Our favorite dishes are the Hot Fish, Singapore Noodles, the meat dumplings (fried), their spicy green beans, and the house special fried rice. Their…

Good service, good prices by coog78 via Citysearch on 2/24/2008

I was a bit skeptical of a resturant in a strip shopping center, but Bamboo is a good find. The salmon eggrolls are really tasty. The service is amiable and friendly, and casual. This is a really good spot for lunch or a casual dinner. I…

Not to our expectations by Miss3M via Citysearch on 2/20/2008

I talked my husband into trying a new restaurant and chose Bamboo House on Waugh St. The decor is minimalistic but pleasant. Immaculately clean which is always a plus. Service was congenial enough but we won't be going back there…

A Hidden Gem by pepsching via Citysearch on 12/25/2006

The minimalist decor is very elegant and clean. The food is traditional, yet inventive like the Hawaiian fried rice. Everything there is delicious and extremely fresh. The service is personable. I always look forward to eating here.

A Great Little Find! by lilcren via Citysearch on 12/7/2006

I'm not normally a huge fan of this type of food or restaurant, but Bamboo House really did impress me. All the food we tried was excellent and reasonably priced. The presentation was great and the atmoshpere/decor impeccable, not dark…

Amazing Addition to Houston Dining ... and Lunching by hardcorehoustonian via Citysearch on 7/24/2006

The location is central and easy-to-get-to; the setting is clean and elegant; the staff are attentive and efficient; the owners are friendly and down-to-earth; but, most importantly, the food is amazing... The shrimp tempura batter is…

Best delivery menu by djuforeo via Citysearch on 5/30/2006

I love to order delievery from Bamboo House. I have been looking for quite a while now, for a menu that is not a typical array of predictable dishes that is usually associated with asain restaurants. In fact, the menu boasts more of an…

We ate at this place one time. Not impressed enough to drive all the way back again. It has friendly staff but slow. Edamame seemed unfresh/wilted. Crispy crab dumplings & walnut shrimp were good. Beef vermicelli unflavorful.
