La Griglia continues its tradition of a true Houston staple at our new address, 2817 W Dallas Street. La Griglia’s menu is a blend of signature dishes with new creations featuring simple, uncomplicated ingredients elegantly presented. A significant portion of our exceptional ingredients are sourced from Italy and act as inspiration for the new offerings. With a striking, modern look and feel, La Griglia features sleek finishes such as marble and brass juxtaposed by the warmth of supple leathers and crisp white tablecloths. The restaurant includes an intimate main dining room, a wine room, and an expansive courtyard and bar for dining and cocktails, allowing for guests to experience a range of environments based on the occasion.

Since La Griglia passed from Tony Vallone to the Landry's Restaurant group, there have not been any major noticeable changes. A bland salad dressing or a less than vibrant pasta dish is the worst we have experienced. The ambience is still… Read Full Editorial

My wiffe and I go hear when we go to the movie at River Oaks - or when we want something like a nice pizza and a glass of wine in the bar. The good is consitently excellent in this place and it is amazing that a place so large has such…

Generally good, but don't get the snapper OR THE SALMON by kpvb via Citysearch on 2/14/2011

We've been to La Griglia numerous times over the last 10 or more years. My husband invariably orders the boar chop and has always been pleased. I usually order the salmon which is almost always good, though the size varies. However, the…

My favorite restaurant by Karen B via Insider Pages on 8/17/2010

I find everytime I go somewhere new, I am always asking myself, would I wish I had gone to La Griglia instead? It's rare that I pick some place else over La Griglia. I Love the bread basket, all the entrees, and the dessert cart is to die…

Moms Love La Griglia by HoustonTexReview via Citysearch on 4/13/2010

Here is a list why it's a treat to take mom to La Griglia which has been an original neighborhood favorite even though Landry's bought them out a few years ago--\r (1) The tentacle-like Italian lamps above the bar; (2) the glass mosaic…

Truly a disappointing experience! by xfangel via Citysearch on 10/11/2008

Our group of 8 people made a reservation for 7:30PM tonight(Saturday night) and arrived on time. We were told by the hostess that our table would be ready in 10 minutes. THIRTY minutes later, we were still not seated. It took us 3 times…

Avoid by megan984 via Citysearch on 10/11/2008

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants. I do not know if they got a new cook or what. But the food is no longer good. They recently changed the menu and i asked for something off of the old menu and he said absolutely no problem.…

Another Landry's by Kuryakin via Citysearch on 6/24/2008

Don't read the reviews prior to 2007 because it was under different ownership then. Its now a clone of the Landry's chain and has come under the corporate boring sameness of all Tillman Fertitta's restaurants. I still like the bar…

Upscale by Eric P via Insider Pages on 2/10/2008

This is a nice upscale restaurant that is good for lunch, dinner or a special event. Just make sure that when you order the crab cakes you actually get more than one!!!

Best lunch and dinner spot in town. by finderl via Citysearch on 7/8/2007

Careless Service by texas85 via Citysearch on 10/30/2006

ALERT...If you have a food allergy by tedsleds via Citysearch on 10/15/2006

We explained in detail about a food allergy a member of our party had, and how severe it was. The waiter told us how he understood and actually discussed how important it was. We placed our orders and after we had started to eat we…

One of my faves in town !!! by lish002 via Citysearch on 10/4/2006

The place is so pretty. The service is the best and very attentive. You get a basket of assortive breads. The best is the one which is a lot like cheese pizza, they also constantly fill the basket. They are very good on selecting wine.…
