Welcome to Sarita, where we are slightly obsessed with serving good food among friends and family. Our focus is on healthy, new American cuisine – a celebration of all our backgrounds and roots. The best of the best eats if you will. Lighter dishes with natural reductions, a lot of vinaigrettes, less cream, less butter — but unbelievable flavors. This is what you can expect if you choose to dine with us. And we hope you will.
The name Sarita is a nod to Chef Anthony Romano’s mentor, plus the name of a song by the New Orleans band, The Subdudes, one of the chef’s favorites.
The restaurant is owned by executive chef Romano. His approach to Sarita is fairly simple: to create a space that’s a reflection of his kind of place...relaxing, fun and celebrate life in the company of friends and family with good food and a great cocktail in hand.

The Scene
There are neighborhood Italian places all over Cleveland, ones that would be called "Mom's" if they were diners. Cozy and informal, they serve good food, but nothing to write Palermo about. Players, though, is… Read Full Editorial

Not Best pizza... by playersplaying via Citysearch on 10/4/2008

I just ordered a pizza from Player's on Madison it was hot a fresh just out of the oven. I have to say that the selection of toppings is impressive, and they are fresh. They did however skimp on the basil which annoyed me because it was my…

One of Lakewood's best restaurants by ltrempe via Citysearch on 9/20/2008

Having lived around Lakewood for over four years I've found that Player's is one of the best local restaurants. Although I've only ever gotten carry-out (generally assorted apps), the food has been fantastic. There's also a very nice patio…

Over Rated by pamdane via Citysearch on 8/11/2008

Service is Ok, Hostess is pleasant. There is nothing outstanding here. Has a Van Gough atmosphere IMO.\r \r Order to table time is atrocious. Appetizers and salads were served at the time meal should have been. \r \r No idea how mac and…

Avoid at all cost$$ by proados via Citysearch on 2/16/2007

Food is NOT that great and the prices are HIGH. Hostess is ANYTHING BUT FRIENDLY. Been there twice. First time for take-out pizza, which was just OK. I don't know why everyone thinks this is so fantastic. Apparently their pizza tastes…

Great Place for Pizza & Quality Service by roman95 via Citysearch on 3/20/2006

Don't mistake Player's for your typical pizza and pasta joint. Although their pizza is fantastic (I highly recommend the pollo pesto), Player's has quickly become my favorite restaurant for many other reasons. With such a great variety of…

Terrible dinner by tggobucks via Citysearch on 3/15/2006

we had terrible service, pizza was undercooked and when we mentioned it, the server acted as if we put them out. Will not go back.

A Perfect Place for all by pporowski via Citysearch on 7/12/2005

Players on Madison is a favorite. My girlfriend and I go about once a month and have never had anything but a wondeful experience. The modern styling is refreshing in an aging area of Lakewood, and the new patio is great for those who…

My wife and I have been fans of Players on Madison for years. It is amazing that they maintain high standards consistantly. The selection of single malt scotches and small batch bourbons is first rate!

The staff at Players is wonderful. Natural friendliness and attention to detail to make your dining experience special. Most importantly, the food is fantastic, the chef being especially innovative with seafood.
