The Synagogue is a newly renovated, historic building at Kenmore and Argyle. Situated only blocks away from the lakefront as well as infamous restaurants on the “Asia on Argyle” stretch serving hot pho, spring rolls, dim sum, sweets and baked goods, and more. Built in the 1920s, The Synagogue served as a place of worship, education, and community until its closure in 2008. FLATS carefully preserved many of the architectural details such as arched windows and stained glass while donating many historic artifacts to the greater community.
