After about 7yrs prior of failed attempts with licensed mental health counselors who re-traumatized or simply could not fit my needs, Tammy presented herself as an experienced trauma counselor who was different because she wasn’t just doing the work because she’d been through similar lived experiences and wanted to help others to overcome- she does the work because she has been through similar experiences, HAS OVERCOME AND HEALED FROM THEM, and has had proven success in helping others to do the same. She is not a licensed mental health practitioner yet has been the one counselor who has helped me most extensively on this journey and helped me to get my life back. What I can say, is please consider non traditional methods in your healing process. And please don’t give up hope. No matter how long it takes to find your fit, please keep going because recovery IS possible
