An iconic downtown San Diego destination, Westfield Horton Plaza is located in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter and within walking distance of the Convention Center, Petco Park, and the Cruise Ship Terminal. Horton Plaza is the hub of Downtown San Diego art, community, entertainment, and shopping. The property is famous for its eclectic architecture and vibrant colors, serving a diverse clientele composed of downtown residents, area workers, and tourists from around the world.

In 2013, the property celebrated the opening of the natural food grocery store Jimbo's Naturally, known for an incredible selection of local and organic produce, a fresh bakery, juice bar, wine, cheese, and sensational prepared foods to go.

Looking toward the future, Westfield Horton Plaza and the City of San Diego are partnering to construct a world-class urban plaza, including the restoration of San Diego's historic Horton Plaza Park adjacent to the shopping center.

Multi-level downtown shopping mall is a maze of large department stores and boutiques, plus a food court and movie theatre. Read Full Editorial

A giant mall designed to get you lost. I walked around in circles looking for stuff. The place is a maze. A 1990's maze.

Really interesting mall. There's a lot of stores, but good luck trying to find how to get there. There are ramps everywhere that lead to the floor you don't want. The food court area is really quirky, that adds a pop of color to the whole…

Had a great time at this mall by Jack722 via Citysearch on 4/11/2012

it was a great experience; the ticket for parking validated and it is also a nice walk around downtown; had a great time at this mall

Fun mall with great variety of stores for everyone. I usually only come here for Panda Palace, which is a Chinese restaurant on the top floor of the mall. They sell these chocolate covered fortune cookies which are delicious, and I also…

Westfield Horton Plaza by Roxanne P via Insider Pages on 6/18/2009

The main reason why I go to Horton Plaza is for their Forever 21. I think it's the biggest of all the ones down here in San Diego, and it's cleaner/neater than all the others. Another great plus about Horton Plaza is that it's right in…

Horton Plaza by Elayna N via Insider Pages on 6/3/2008

Horton Plaza is located in the heart of downtown San Diego. It offers a wide variety of stores, more on the side of hip hop and younger generations. The mall itself is fairly run down and the nicest store is probably the Nordstrom's. The…

Busy mall by Ingrid L via Insider Pages on 6/4/2008

Decent mall, but I prefer fashion valley or UTC. The mall covers a lot of space but it doesn't really have much to shop in. The stores in it are smaller than other stores in our area. Good place to go if you prefer quantity over quality.

Awesome outdoor mall! by dmenkes via Citysearch on 11/22/2006

The archetecture alone is worth fighting your way through the parking lot, then trying to navigate your way through the bizantine walkways and multi-leveled shops. The food court is more spread out than at a traditional mall. Everything's…

shop till you drop! by D W via Insider Pages on 10/18/2005

This mall is HUGE and it has almost everything you can think of. Horton Plaza covers 6-1/2 city blocks and is up to 5 stories high. There is about 130 shops and restaurants including a Long's Drugs where everyone gets their parking…

Great place to shop, most of the time by Catherine F via Insider Pages on 8/15/2005

This place is located right smack in the middle of downtown, which means traffic getting there could be a pain and looking for parking is just as painful, especially during one of those gift-giving seasons. Other than that, this mall is…

Lots of stores by Vivian V via Insider Pages on 7/21/2005

I think this mall is like five stories high! And each story is filled with great stores and restaurants. In the winter there is usually an ice rink set up too! I can't get enough of this mall!

A Place for the Rich by Karrie F via Insider Pages on 6/23/2005

Downtown's Horton Plaza mall has a good selection of very expensive stores. Sure they have tons of lovely items to look at, but for people who don't make large quantities of money and want to buy things, this is not the place to go. …

A Beautiful Mall that is Only Growing in Size and Recognition by Teresa N via Insider Pages on 4/27/2005

At first glace, Horton Plaza catches you with its beautiful architecture and appealing colors. The different levels, store arrangements, elevators, walkways, steps, parking structures, decorative statues and lights, greenery, and overall…

Pretty mall, but something is missing. by Peter L via Insider Pages on 4/7/2005

I don't know why I'm not as attacted to this mall as I am to fashion valley. Without a doubt, this is the best looking mall in San Diego, with it's unique two story design and scattered artwork throughout the facility. There is also a…

Openair Mall with Places to Eat, Places to Shop and more... by Riva M via Insider Pages on 2/16/2005

And of course, I always have to go to Horton Plaza Shopping Center. It has all kinds of stores from gift shops to Starbucks to Name Brand Stores. It is on different levels, you can order food and go and sit on one of the levels and do…
